Know your neighborhood

Every homeowner I know is on a Budget.

Most likely that includes you as well.   Having worked in the home improvement industry for over 5 years, I can tell you countless stories of home remodeling projects that went wrong.  You've probably heard a few of these stories from friends and family as well.

  • The friend who just put in new flooring, only to find their dishwasher broke when they went on vacation and ruined the floor.
  • The family member who started to remodel their bathroom only to find there was dry rot under the tub, and had to completely tear up the sub floor in two rooms in order to finish.
  • The man who built a shed in his backyard, only to have the city code enforcer come by and tell him he didn't have the proper setback from his property line.
